Poppet Magick

Poppet Magick is a form of sympathetic magick. What is done to the symbol shall be laid upon to the target. Poppets were used in ancient Egypt, Greece, and are now made popular with their connection to Hoodoo, and Brujeria. 

Poppets are made from many different materials. Some, like these, are made from cloth and stuffed with herbs, crystals, personal or symbolic items, a taglock (something that binds the poppet to it's person), oils, and resin to seal. Some poppets can be made from wax (we make custom wax poppets by request), wood, bone, etc.

Some people think only harmful magick can be cast with the use of a poppet (or voodoo doll), but that is not the case! You can draw any type of energy or manifestation to your through these adorable dolls! Our kits alone come with options for wealth, love, road opening, imposter syndrome, healing, grounding and so much more. 

Our Poppet Kits come with almost everything you need to make your own poppet. Each kit comes with 1 partially stuffed and pre-sewn poppet doll, 1 taper candle (4"), 1 baggie of herbs with crystal chips, 1 vial of oil, 1 baggie of incense, 1 piece of parchment petition paper, filler and 1 piece of Copal Resin for the heart.

How to Use a Poppet Kit:

Anoint a candle with a couple of drops of power oil and light.  Cut two pieces of fabric into doll shapes and sew up ¾ of the way (if you purchase one of our kits all of this comes with it ready to use)

 Write your goals as detailed as you’d like on a petition paper and place it inside the doll. Place any herbs, crystals, trinkets, charms, symbols of your intent, and then the taglocks (something of the person casting for like a picture, bit of hair, etc.) into the doll. Add a piece of Copal Resin to represent the heart of the doll. Fill the rest of the way with any extra herbs or stuffing. Sew the doll the rest of the way while focusing on what you are looking to accomplish.

 Charge/feed the doll with the elements by running it through incense (air), anoint the bag with oil (water), pass quickly over the candle flame (fire), sprinkle with ash, salt, or herbs (earth), and blow on the bag (spirit).

 Hold bag in your hands, take a deep breath, and relax. Visualize your goal in every detail. Leave nothing out including how you feel about the situation. Let that feeling fill you up until it explodes forth. Pour as much of it into the doll as you can. Wave your power hand over the doll three times filling it with your desire for power and magick. Keep the doll safe and in a space where it’s magic can be attracted and used. Discard of it when you are done as your beliefs dictate. Unless you are using our kits as they are designed to be reused.
